Course Length: 1.5 Hours

Course Description

When determining the methods that you will use to assess student learning, it is important to make sure that your assessment aligns with the goals and learning outcomes. You might ask yourself; ‘What do I want my students to be able to do with what they are learning in my class?’ and ‘How will the students demonstrate what they have learned?’ Once you have thought through these questions, you will need to ask yourself how you are going to gather the data on what the students have learned and how they demonstrate it. In this session the presenter will explain how he uses Excel spreadsheets to record the data he gathers in his classroom. He will demonstrate how he sets up the spreadsheets for recording and presenting the data.
