Course Description

 

Critical reflection is a core expectation of early childhood education, and part of the planning cycle. The National Quality Standard includes a requirement for critical reflection, and provides explicit expectations for assessment. This session will examine the NQS requirements and consider what is understood by critical reflection, and how it can be incorporated into pedagogical documentation.

Completing ETLN2024 Critical reflection and the National Quality Standard for early childhood will contribute 1 hour of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing the standards 3.6.2, 7.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW
