Please note: To attend this session you need to bring along your own Laptop computer and charger.  It is essential that your computer has all operating system updates installed prior to your attendance.


All participants will complete the session on Coding and the Instructional videos together. In the last hour of the day, participants will be able to choose between completing an instructional video of their own, or joining the session, The basics of technology in the classroom - Hints and tips to connect to your classroom's opportunities.


- Beginner Coding with Ben Pisani

Together participants will explore plugged and unplugged coding with the aim of making it accessible and achievable.  Information about available resources, tools and practical ideas for engaging lessons will be explored. 


- Creating instructional videos with Daniel Cohen

Participants will explore the processes and concepts behind instructions, storyboarding and script writing.  Most importantly you will be guided through the recording process and the different option you have available.  


- Basics of technology in the classroom - Hints and tips to connect to your classroom's opportunities with Ben Pisani

Classrooms have a different setup and connection methods to get digital technology functioning. You might be using, or want to use, Bluetooth speakers, projectors, televisions, smart boards, chrome cast or Apple TV. This session will provide some basic information about technology, and some step by step instructions, that will assist you in incorporating digital technology into your teaching.
