Course Description

 

Many resources and materials found in preschool have been designed to provide hands-on mathematical experience.  Becoming more aware of the mathematical concepts embedded in resources can help teachers be intentional in their selection of resources. It can help with writing pedagogical documentation to highlight mathematical learning opportunities. This presentation will look at common preschool materials and investigate some of the mathematical concepts inherent in them.
