Course Length: 60 Minutes

Course Description

Children develop beliefs about gender from an early age. Images of gender that abound in society affect how young children see the world and can result in rigid ideas about gender.  Early childhood programs need to consciously combat gender stereotypes if children are to access the full range of the curriculum and embrace diversity. This session will look at how children display understandings of gender, and how an anti-bias curriculum can counter the entrenching of stereotypes.
